One Sweet Day is a home baking business, based in Altrincham, Cheshire, specialising in delicious and personalised cakes for all types of celebrations. My name is Julie and I love creating bespoke cakes and treats to help make your special occasion that little bit sweeter.
From show-stopping wedding cakes to personalised birthday cakes. Whether you know exactly what you want, or you need a little more inspiration. My goal is to make you something unique, memorable and, of course, delicious.

Our prices start at just £35 for a standard sponge cake with basic decoration. We can work to any budget and would supply a detailed quotation once we’ve had a chat about your requirements.
We normally advise that a standard 8 inch round cake would divide into 12-16 generous portions. If you have a number of slices in mind we can help decide on a suitable sized cake for you.
Yes and there are many ways that we can do this, depending on the style you are after. Piping is the most traditional but we can also use stamps, paint, chocolate moulds or fondant cutters to get incredible results.
There are many techniques for decorating celebration cakes. Buttercream frosting is the most versatile as it can be either textured or beautifully smooth. Fondant icing covered cakes looks stylish and are great for a smoother, more polished finish.
We love adding extra decorations, be it fresh flowers, fondant decorations, novelty figures or delicate sugar craft flowers.
Painted cakes are also becoming very popular, either using buttercream or edible paints to decorate and transform your cake.
